All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Senior Master Sergeant William "Bill" Elliott, Jr. (Photo) Mr. William "Bill" Elliott Jr. died Friday, March 26, 1999, at Sabine Medical Center in Many. Mr. Elliott was born Oct. 19, 1937, in Broomall, Pa., and graduated in 1955, from Marple-Newton High School in Broomall, Pa. He joined the U. S. Air Force in 1956, during which time, his tours included Vietnam and Thailand. He received numerous military commendations, and completed four years of college while in the U. S. Air Force. He retired from the Air Force in 1979, as a Senior Master Sergeant. Mr. Elliott was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Zwolle, an active member, and volunteer in the VFW, and the VA Hospital, and he belonged to the local fishing and hunting clubs. He was also an employee of Big Star. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, at First United Methodist Church in Zwolle, with interment following at Zwolle City Cemetery. Full U. S. Air Force Military Honors were performed. The Rev. Ted Freeland officiated. Survivors include his widow, Marion P. Elliott of Zwolle; three daughters, Sharon Badour and husband Gary of Wright City, Mo., Cindy Fryday and husband Bill of Houston, Texas, and Gay Vanlanding and husband Van of Pottsboro, Texas; five sons, Kenneth Elliott of St. Louis, Mo., Billy Elliott and wife Daisy of Harrisburg, Ark., Lynn Miller and wife LuJuan of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ren Kozikowski and wife Susan of Bridgeton, Mo., and Richard Kozikowski and wife Brenda of Denison, Texas; mother, Bertha Elliott of Clifton Heights, Texas; two brothers, Martin Elliott and wife George Anne, and Kenneth Elliott and wife Ann; 17 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three nieces. Mr. Elliott is preceded in death by his father, William Clifton Elliott Sr. The family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Zwolle, in lieu of flowers.
