The Sabine Index - J. O. Elam

  15 Feb 1952 - J. O. Elam, 79, died at his home near
Natchitoches Sunday, Feb. 10. Funeral services were conducted at
Union Baptist church, Belmont, Monday, Feb. 11, with Rev. O. S.
Roberts, pastor, officiating.

  Mr. Elam lived at Belmont many years ago. When a young man he
was united with Union church. He was a nephew of the late John
Bullard.

  Mr. Elam was never married. He is survived by four sisters,
Mrs. J. M. Sutton, San Angelo, Texas, Mrs. R. H. Burnell,
Palestine, Texas, Mrs. J. M. Slay, San Angelo, Texas, Mrs. C. C.
Haley, Dallas, Texas; two brothers, H. S. Elam, Hope, Ark., E. J.
Elam, Dallas, Texas, with a number of nieces and nephews.

  Interment was in Belmont cemetery by the side of his parents.
