Funeral services were held in the Many First Baptist Church, at 3 p.m., Sunday, with the Rev. Perry Lassiter, and the Rev. W. E. Spencer officiating. Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Military and VFW rites were held at the graveside. Mr. Englehardt was a teacher in the Sabine Parish School System for 17 years, and was a member of the VFW, and a member of the Many Masonic Lodge 411. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. June Englehardt of Many; one step son, Alton Neal of Noble; one step daughter, Mrs. Alva Lauer of New Orleans; one brother, Harry L. Englehardt of Lake Jackson, Tex.; and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Radin of Cincinnati, Ohio. Pallbearers were Reo Wright, Truman Nichols, Leo Springer, Truett Walden, A. G. Alizzi, Floyd Lopez, Hoy Lee, and John Pickett.
