The Sabine Index - Steve L. Emanus 
  
  23 Apr 1948 - Steve L. Emanus, 59, passed away at the veterans 
hospital in Alexandria. Funeral services were at St. Joseph's 
Catholic church, Thursday of last week at 3 p.m. conducted by 
Rev. Father Robert Fried, pastor. Interment followed under 
direction of Massingill funeral home. 
  
  Surviving relatives include: wife, Mrs. Nellie Emanus, Zwolle; 
sons, Arthur of Goldonna, S. L. Jr., Calvin D. and Alvin, all of 
Zwolle; daughter Miss Beatrice Emanus, Zwolle; brothers J. C. 
Emanus, Mansfield, and P. R. Emanus, Zwolle. 
  
  A son, Sgt. J. W. Emanus, was killed on June 6, 1944 (D-Day) in 
the invasion of France.
