All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Arthur Edward Emanus Funeral services were held for Mr. Arthur Edward Emanus, 68, of Shreveport, at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 23, at Lakeview Baptist Church, where Mr. Emanus was a member. The Rev. Ray E. Wallace, pastor, officiated, assisted by Chaplain Troy Hall of the V. A. Medical Center. Burial was at the Restland Cemetery in Waskom, Tx. Mr. Emanus died Friday, Aug. 21, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Shreveport, after a long illness. Born in Noble, he had been a resident of Shreveport for 15 years. He was employed as an auto mechanic, and was a veteran of WWII. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jessie Mae Emanus of Shreveport; his step mother, Mrs. Nell Gerna of Union City, Ca.; a step son, James H. Henigan of Ventura, Ca.; three brothers, Cal Emanus, and Joe Emanus of Union City, Ca., and Steve Emanus of Gatlinburg, Tenn. Pallbearers were John Shaughnessy, John Chandler, Neymond Heable Jr., Giles Pearson, Elmer Browning, and W. C. McCann. Those attending the services from out of town were Lt. Col. (Ret.) and Mrs. D. H. Cooper of Haughton, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lopez of Many, Mrs. Bertha Colvin, Longview, Tx., Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Ebarb from Ebarb, Mr. and Mrs. David Procell of Winnfield, La., and A. J. Procell of Texas.
