Gary Hudson Emmons

  Services for Mr. Gary Hudson Emmons, 27, of Pleasant Hill, were
held at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 17, at the First Baptist Church
in Pleasant Hill. Rev. Adrian Pater officiated. Burial was in
Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of
Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield.

  Mr. Emmons, a native of Pleasant Hill, died suddenly, Thursday,
April 15, about 6:30 p.m., following an oil rig accident near
Carthage, Tex.

  He is survived by his widow, Cindy Terrell Emmons, and one
daughter, Jamie Lee Ann Emmons of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Mrs.
Jane Wren of Keithville; two nephews, Todd Johnson of Keithville,
and Greg Mitchell of Converse; one niece, Traci Johnson of
Keithville.

  Pallbearers were employees of the Murco Drilling Co., Rig No.
38.

  Mr. Emmons was formerly a dispatcher with the Sabine Parish
Sheriff's Dept.
