Emanus, 73, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, were held Saturday, Oct. 27, in the St. Catherine Catholic Church in Tulsa. Father Vincent Hoying officiated. Interment was in Gore Cemetery, Gore, Okla. Mr. Emanus died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 1984, in Tulsa, Okla. Funeral services were under the direction of Health-Griffith Funeral Home in Tulsa. A retired bulldozer operator for T. L. James Co., Mr. Emanus was born in Zwolle, La., on March 10, 1911. He is survived by four daughters, Zannie Bates, Poolesville, Md., Mary Corley, Tulsa, Okla., Rita Jarmon, Ruston, La., and Teresa Phillips, Ruston, La.; six sons, Walter J. Emanus Jr., San Antonio, Tex., Thomas C. Emanus, John R. Emanus, Mike Emanus, all of Jonesboro, La., James L. Emanus, Houston, Tex., and Keith Emanus, Fort Campbell, Ky.; six brothers, Rupert Emanus, Alexandria, La., James E. Emanus, Zwolle, La., Lonnie Emanus, Sommerville, Tenn., DeWitt Emanus, Biloxi, Miss., Harold Emanus, Houston, Tex., and Ray Emanus, Splendora, Tex.; three sisters, Mabel Hunter, Memphis, Tenn., JoAnn Ebarb, La., and Faye Dunado, Suffern, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
