The Rev. Bob Hannigan, and the Rev. I. D. Noble officiated. Interment was in Cassell Cemetery in Converse, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Mr. Erwin died on Sunday, May 7, at Willis Knighton Hospital North in Shreveport. Mr. Erwin was born March 12, 1945, in Leesville, to Fannie and Woodrow Erwin. Mr. Erwin was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Fannie Erwin; and a brother, Lindsey Erwin. Survivors are his widow, Dorothy Erwin of Converse; four sons, Jessie Erwin, Donald Erwin, and Justin Erwin, all of Converse, and Wayne Erwin and wife Ginger of Oak Harbor, Wash.; one daughter, Geri Erwin of Converse; two sisters, Mary Shoults and husband Henry of West Lake, and Frances Soo and husband Al of Pearle river, La.; seven sisters-in-law, Ruth Boyett of Logansport, Nettie Mayfield of Mansfield, Sallie Santos, Pat Santos, and Elaine Welch, all of Converse, Mary Ann Procell of Pleasant Hill, and Mrs. Pete Santos of Anacoco; and brothers-in-law, A. J. Boyett of Logansport, Earl Mayfield of Mansfield, Dennis Santos, Wilson Santos, Raymond Welch, all of Converse, and Malcolm Procell of Pleasant Hill; two grandchildren, Joshua Erwin of Tatum, Texas, and Holli Erwin of Oak Harbor, Wash.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
