Fox, were held at 9 a.m., on Tuesday, May 17, 1994, in Hixson Funeral Home. The Revs. Bill Billings, and Ray Shawa officiated. Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, in Downsville Cemetery. Mr. Fox died at 6:05 a.m., Sunday, May 15, 1994, in a local hospital. A native of Many, he lived in Iowa for 37 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Purple Heart, and worked at Cities Service as a machinist for 32 years. He was a member of Woodlawn First Baptist Church, the VFW, and the AARP. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Ruth Hammons Fox; one son, William W. Fox of Shreveport; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Nash of the Woodlands, Texas; one brother, Charles J. Fox of Many; and five grandchildren.
