Vadis A. Fawkes

  Funeral services for Vadis A. Fawkes, 75, were held at 3 p.m.,
Friday, September 28, at Warren Meadows Chapel, with Rev. Larry
DeLoach officiating. Interment followed in Middle Creek Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Fawkes passed away Wednesday, September 26, at Heritage
Manor #1 in Many.

  She is survived by one son, Mark Edwin Rodgers of Dallas, Texas;
three brothers, Oather Canady of Sulphur, Tom Canady, and Oscar
Canady, both of Florien; five sisters, Ruby Ferguson of
Nederland, Texas, Gladys Hebert of Jasper, Tex., Mayro Caldwell
of Groves, Tex., Jarue Hester, also of Groves, Tex., and Ida Mae
Reynolds of Kountze, Tex.; three grandchildren; one great
grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
