All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Randell Ray Foster Randell Ray Foster, 49, of Many, was fatally injured when he lost control of his 1962 Chevy II, while traveling west on Hwy. 6, on Sunday, Aug. 19, at 2 p.m. He skidded into the left ditch, and hit a highline pole, according to State Trooper Lee R. Isgitt. The accident happened six miles west of Many. Foster was taken to Fraser Hospital in Many, and then transferred to the Veterans Hospital in Shreveport, where he died at 5:50 the same evening. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m., in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Many, with the Bishop Glen Hardy, and the Rev. Billy White officiating. Interment was held in the Bethsadia Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home, with military rites held at the graveside. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Johnnie Foster of Shreveport; five sons, Terry R. Foster of Many, Ronald W. Foster of the U. S. Army, Gerald L. Foster of the U. S. Navy, and John R., and Mallie L. Foster, both of Shreveport; a daughter, Katheryn L. Foster of Shreveport; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mallie Foster of Many; a brother, Joe Foster of Bossier City; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Sparks of Keithville; and two grandchildren.
