The Sabine Index - R. E. Fisher 
  
  19 Nov 1948 - Funeral services for R. E. Fisher , 75, were held 
Nov. 4 at Union Springs Baptist church of Converse with Rev. Ott 
W. Coburn officiating. Burial was in Union cemetery under 
direction of Drewitt funeral home, Mansfield. 
  
  Mr. Fisher died Nov. 3 at Allen sanitarium, Converse after a 
three-week illness. 
  
  Survivors are his widow and 10 children, R. V. Fisher, G. W. 
Fisher, Mrs. C. Hatcher, Mrs. Vertie Bixley of Converse; Mrs. F. 
J. Bissell, Benson; Stanley Fisher, Pelican; Mrs. Mary Welborn, 
Mansfield; Gilbert Fisher, Ark, Texas; Foley Fisher, Ada, Okla.; 
Mrs. Maye Webb, Mansfield. 32 grandchildren and four 
great-grandchildren.
