The Rev. Adrian Patier, and the Rev. J. N. Myers officiated. Burial was in the Pelican Cemetery, under the direction of the Drewitt Funeral Home. Mr. Fisher died on Saturday, Dec. 7,. At 1 a.m., in the Pleasant Hill General Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born in Wiley, West Virginia on Sept. 16, 1902, Mr. Fisher had been resident of the area for years. Survivors include five daughters, Maureen Kelly of Pelican, Joyce Whatley of Odessa, Tex., Jackie Smith of Colfax, Bertha Cobbs of Pleasant Hill, and Jeanne Harper of Cotton Valley; one son, Jack Fisher Jr. of Pelican; two sisters, Linnie Hatcher of Converse, and Maye Hagean of Ruston; one brother, Gilbert Fisher of Opelousas; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Lloyd Webb, Mike Kelly, Pete Kelly, Tommy Joe Lagars, Marvin Kelly, Ray Fisher, Bill Smith, and Ern Hight.
