Van Buren Folk

  Funeral services for Van Burren Folk, 78, of Zavalla, were
held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3, in the Zavalla Cemetery, with
the Rev. Buford Bryan officiating. Burial was under the
direction of the Gibson Funeral Home of Lufkin.

  Mr. Folk died Wednesday, Nov. 1, in a hospital following a
long illness.

  Survivors include his widow; a son, Wesley Folk of
Shreveport; two brothers, John Folk of Converse, and Oscar
Folk of Arcoma, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Emmons of
Pleasant Hill, and Mrs. Leona Howard of Lake Charles.
