James L. Flack Sr.

  James L. "Corkey" Flack Sr., 48, of Provencal, died Thursday,
Oct 11, in his residence, after a sudden illness.

  The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, in
Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Carl
Carrigan officiating. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anita W. Flack of Provencal;
two sons, James L. Flack Jr. of Natchitoches, and Charles A.
Flack of Florien; five step sons, Hayward Sawyer of Opelika,
Ala., John Sawyer of Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, Michael Sawyer
of San Diego, Calif., Mark Sawyer, and Haley Sawyer, both of
Provencal; one daughter, Teresa Reeves of Bernice; one step
daughter, Melinda Harold of Madison, Ga.; his mother, Mrs.
Zimphothey Flack of Provencal; one sister, Patricia New of
Provencal; five brothers, Ronnie E. Flack of Singer, Jerry F.
Flack of Natchitoches, Johnny T. Flack of Shreveport, Gene M.
Flack of Los Angeles, Ralph T. Flack of San Diego, Calif.; two
grandchildren.
