Viola Davis Folks

  Services for Mrs. Viola Davis Folks, 95, of Converse, were held
at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30, at the First Baptist Church in
Converse. The Rev. H. M. Roach, and the Rev. James Miller
officiated. Plans were under the direction of Drewett Funeral
Home in Mansfield.

  Mrs. Folks died at 9:45 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1983, in
Converse.

  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Spillyards of
Converse; two sons, Leslie Folks of Shreveport, La., and W. M.
Folks of Livermore, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Rena Bridges of
Converse, and Mrs. Clara Carter of Belmont, La.; nine
grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great-great
grandchild.
