(Jimmy) Fletcher Funeral services for James Fletcher, 78, were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. The Reverend Dr. William Crosby, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Mansfield, officiated. Burial was at Highland Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Funeral Home. Mr. Fletcher died Sunday, Oct. 11, at VA Nursing Center in Alexandria, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Fletcher was born in Robeline, was a former resident of Shreveport, and had resided in Mansfield for 39 years. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a meat cutter, and market supervisor in various groceries in Shreveport, Logansport, Many, and Mansfield, over a period of 63 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mansfield. Survivors are his wife, Juanita Fletcher of Mansfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Wanda Fletcher of Robeline, Ron and Linda Fletcher of Natchitoches; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty Lou and Gerald Bennett of Memphis; one sister, Willa Mae McMahon of Sevierville; 14 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
