The Sabine Index - Rev. Joe E. Flanagan

  30 Dec 1955 - Funeral services for the Rev. Joe E. Flanagan,
49-year-old pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist church, Shreveport,
who died at his home at 2:10 p.m. Sunday, were held at 3 p.m.
Monday at the Emmanuel Church.

  A native of Zwolle, the Rev. Flanagan has been pastor of the
Shreveport church for the past eight years. He became ill about a
month ago.

  He is survived by his widow and one daughter, Martiel Flanagan
of Shreveport; three brothers, Robert C. Flanagan, Shreveport,
the Rev. Barney W. Flanagan, Columbas, Ga.; and Jim F. Flanagan,
Poteau, Okla.; and one sister, Mrs. Oma Quarles, Zwolle.
