Flanagan - September 13, 1973 Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, for Robert Clifton Flanagan, 70, of Blanchard, who died at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday in Physicians and Surgeons Hospital after a long illness. Rev. William R. Stowell, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiates, assisted by Rev. W. L. Cockerell, pastor of the Blanchard Nazarene Church. Burial was in the Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Mr. Flanagan, a native of Zwolle, had lived in the Shreveport area since 1942. He was a retired employee of Atlas Processing Co. He was a member of the Blanchard Nazarene Church and former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Guerdon Flanagan of Shreveport, Bobby Flanagan of Bossier City, Charles Flanagan of Lafayette and Harold Flanagan of Keithville; a daughter, Charlotte Marlowe of Blanchard; two brothers James Flanagan of Poteau, Okla., and Barney Flanagan of Many; and 14 grandchildren.
