All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Naoma Flanagan Services for Mrs. Naoma Flanagan, 74, of Zwolle, were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel in Shreveport. The Rev. Bill Stowell, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was at Centuries Memorial Park. Mrs. Flanagan died Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Westwood Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Zwolle, and was a former resident of Shreveport, from 1947 to 1968, when she returned to Zwolle. Mrs. Flanagan was Baptist, and was a former secretary of Caddo Heights Baptist Church in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joe Flanagan, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church for nine years. She is survived by one daughter, Martiel Bowden of Dallas, Tex.; four grandchildren, Gloria Glaston of South Mayd, Tex., LaVonne Wesley of Garland, Tex., Darren Bowden, and Dwayne Bowden of Dallas, Tex.; and two great grandchildren, Jessica Wesley, and Heather Glaston. Pallbearers were her grandsons and nephews.
