A native of Adner, he was a lifelong resident of Shreveport, where he was division vice president for planning, with Riley-Beaird, Inc. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Broadmoor United Methodist Church, with Dr. Jack Cooke, pastor, officiating. The Rev. David Bryson, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. James Stovall, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Monroe, assisted. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery, under the direction of the Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Stovall Finuf, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Finuf Sr., two sons, Melvin A. Finuf Jr., and Charles M. Finuf Sr., one daughter, Anne Teresa Finuf, all of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. M. D. Lawson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, M. W. Finuf Jr., of Zwolle; and two grandchildren.
