All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** William Whitman Finch Funeral services for Mr. William Whitman Finch, 95, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 24, at the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. Interment followed in the Spring Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Mouser officiated. Mr. Finch passed away March 21, at his residence in Belmont. Mr. Finch was a World War I veteran. He worked for Humble Oil Company for 33 years, and retired in 1958. Mr. Finch moved to Belmont, La., where he became a Polled Hereford cattle farmer. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church since 1958. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jessie Finch of Belmont; one son, Bill Finch of Jacksonville, Tex.; one daughter, Mary Hodges of Shreveport; five grandchildren; two nieces; and several great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included W. W. Finch III, David Rockland Finch, Paul Hodges, Dr. Hartwell Whisennand, Richard Whisennand, Wilmer Bullard, Carlton Salley, Hugh Hardee.
