Fenston, 85, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. N. O. Pugh of the First Baptist Church in Shreveport, officiated. Burial was with Masonic graveside rites at Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. Fenston died at his residence on Thursday, September 15, 1994. Mr. Fenston was a native of Omaha, Nebraska, and a resident of Shreveport for over 40 years. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge #179, B'Nai Zion Temple, and was very active in civic affairs of Shreveport. Mr. Fenston was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Barney P. Fenston; and his brother, Jerrold J. Fenston. Survivors are his widow, Blanche Skinner Fenston; niece, Mrs. Mary Russell and her husband Thurmond of Shreveport; nephews, Larry Skinner and wife Carolyn of Many, Asa Skinner and wife Karen of Leesville, Wayne Carmical and wife Ophelia of Mabank, Tex., William F. Carmical and wife Doris of Houston, Tex., and Joe Paul Carmical and wife Frances of Pasadena, Tex. The family request that memorials be made to the charity of donor's choice.
