"Tommy" Fountain Services for Mr. Thomas A. "Tommy" Fountain, 74, of Benson, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield. The Rev. Richard Plunckett, pastor of Old Union Baptist Church, where Mr. Fountain was a member, officiated. Burial was at Barber Cemetery near Lula Community. Family received friends after 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Fountain died Thursday, July 21, 1988 at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport after a long illness. He was retired from Shell Oil Co. He was a Mason and member of the Mitchell Masonic Lodge #252 of Converse. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Reky Fountain of Benson; two sons, Douglas Fountain and T. A. Fountain, Jr., and two daughters, Georgia Pullen and Harriet Davidson, all of Michigan; three stepchildren, Reta McGuire of North Carolina, Reggie Roe and Sammy Roe, of Frierson, La.; three sisters, Leola Combs, M. E. Gray of Shreveport, Maudessie Broussard of Baton Rouge, La.; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild step-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Arthur Lambert, Ricky Lambert, Ricky Salley, Emery Pullen, Sammy Roe and Reggie Roe.
