Officiating was Rev. Ray Dyess, pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church in Marthaville. Graveside services were at noon, at Marthaville Cemetery. Mrs. Fountain died Monday, Jan. 24, at 6:20 p.m., at LSU Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Marthaville, and was a resident of Shreveport. Mrs. Fountain was a homemaker, and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marshall L. Hayes. Survivors include her husband, Fred Fountain of Shreveport; two daughters, and four sons, Deborah Nichols and husband Alfred of Simsboro, Denise Hayes of Stonewall, Doswell Hayes and wife Donna, Douglas Hayes, Kevin Delane Hayes, and Dean Hayes; one sister, Carolyn Clemons, all of Shreveport; three brothers, Earl Allen of Marthaville, Dan Allen of Stonewall, and Dennis Coleman of Ruston; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Bobby Cook, Elton Allen, Tim Lope, David Ebarb, Tommy Scott, and Wade Clemons.
