The Sabine Index - Rev. Jessie C. Fondren

  17 Oct 1947 - Rev. Jessie C. Fondren, age 92, who passed away at
his home in Little Flock community, was buried at Little Flock
Sunday. Services were conducted at the Baptist church there at
3:30 p.m. by Rev. V. K. Fletcher, pastor Florien Baptist church.
Interment was under direction Massingill funeral home.

  Rev. Fondren was born and reared in Sabine Parish. At the time
of his death he was a retired Baptist minister, having preached
60 years.

  Surviving are his widow, Mrs J. C. Fondren; sons, Charles
Fondren, Port Arthur, Texas and Homer Fondren, Florien, daughter
Mrs. Bell Perkins, Crowley.
