The Rev. Preston Tibbits, and Rev. Earl Marr officiated at the services. Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Funderburk died Saturday, Aug. 29, at her home, after a brief illness. A native of Many, Mrs. Funderburk was a housewife. She joined the Friendship Baptist Church on July 22, 1962, the day the church was named. She was well loved by everyone who knew her. There was never a person she met that she didn't have a kind word or friendly smile for. She was a giving person, and never expected anything but a smile in return. She was married to Carra R. Funderburk, who passed away in January, 1962. Mrs. Funderburk raised one daughter, Gale; and two grandchildren, Russel and Rhoda Seaman. Two of Mrs. Funderburk's favorite pastime hobbies were fishing and hunting. She truly enjoyed being out doors. Mrs. Funderburk is survived by her mother, Lottie Greer of Many; two sons, Bill Funderburk of Elm Grove, Don Funderburk of Many; one daughter, Gale Pearce of Many; nine grandchildren, Russel Seaman of Many, Rhonda Fine of Sherman, Tx., Susan Ferguson of Shreveport, Wallace Funderburk of Elm Grove, Wesley, and Lane Funderburk of Many, Dawn, Crystal, and Shawn Pearce of Many; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by seven sisters, Mae Lewis of Mulberry, Ark., Delma Marr of Many, Melmo Lindsey of Many, Margaret Milon of Los Angeles, Ca., Myrtle Hinson of Leesville, Lurline Vallade of Houston, Tx., Jean Funderburk of Slagle; and many nieces, nephews, and friends whom loved her dearly. Pallbearers were nephews of the family. They were Mae Hinson, Jimmy Funderburk, Autrey Marr, Gary Dowden, William Self, and Tommy Patton. Though Mrs. Funderburk is gone, her loving memory will be with us always.
