Free, 70, of Shreveport, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, November 21, at the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Stowell of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was at Centuries Memorial Park. Mrs. Free, a housewife, died at 12:55 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 1986, at Willis Knighton Medical Center, after a long illness. She was born September 21, 1916, in Pleasant Hill, La., and had been a resident of Shreveport since 1949. Mrs. Free was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, and the Shreveport and Bossier Art Clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry W. Free. She is survived by two sons, Larry Glen Free of Blanchard, and Harold L. "Boe" Free of Shreveport; and their wives, Pat, and Molly Free; three daughters, Helen Moore, and her husband David of Shreveport, Jean Brunson of Shreveport, and Mary Nelson and her husband James of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Muriel Hodges, and Mrs. Jo Lee Bolton; and one brother, Kenneth Burnett and his wife Mary of Shreveport; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Michael Steven, Terr, and Scotty Sanders, Gred Solomon, and Larry Free. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Long may her memory live.
