Gertie Norine Free

  Funeral services for Mrs. Gertie Norine Free, 77, were held
Wednesday, October 30, at 2 p.m., in Progress Presbyterian Church
near Pleasant Hill. Interment followed at Progress Cemetery,
under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Rev. E. W.
Gold, and Rev. Haggard officiated.

  Mrs. Free died Monday, Oct. 28, at Schumpert Medical Center in
Shreveport. She was born in Pleasant Hill, March 1, 1914. Mrs.
Free was a member of Spring Ridge Baptist Church of Pleasant
Hill.

  Survivors included husband James A. Free of Pleasant Hill; two
sons, James D. "Buddy" Free of Natchitoches, and Jimmie G. Free
of Bossier City; one brother, C. C. "Sam" Craig of Keithville;
twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
