Mr. Ernest A. Free

  Services for Mr. Ernest A. Free, 75, were at 11 a.m., Saturday,
Feb. 12, 1994, at Wellman Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport.
Burial was in Ajax Cemetery near Pleasant Hill.

  Mr. Free died Thursday, Feb. 10, 1994, at Willis Knighton
Medical Center in Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. He was
born in Bethany, near Marthaville, and had been a resident of
Shreveport since 1957. Mr. Free was a steel worker for Mosher
Steel Co., and was a Baptist.

  He is survived by his wife, Margaret P. Free of Shreveport; four
sons, Don Free, Doug Free, Ernie Free, and Melvin Free, all of
Shreveport; three daughters, Patsy Santos of Converse, La., June
Creech of Longview, Tex., and Sue Anderson of Atlanta, Ga.; 25
grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth
Free of Climate Falls, Ore., and Marcelli Free of Kilgore, Tex.;
one sister, Gladys Treadway of Blanchard, La.

  Pallbearers were grandsons.
