L. R. Free

  Funeral services for L. R. Free, 77, of Pleasant Hill, were held
Wednesday, June 8, in the Springridge Baptist Church, with Mrs.
Ada Bonds, and the Rev. Olan Walters officiating. Interment was
in Springridge Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home of Many.

  Mr. Free died Tuesday, June 7, in Many, after an extended
illness.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Bell Free of Pleasant
Hill; one son, E. N. Free of Natchitoches; three daughters, Mrs.
W. D. Roberts of Hobbs, N. M., Mrs. Merle Bates of Winnfield, and
Mrs. Joe R. Byles of Many; three brothers, Frank, and Dewey Free
of Pleasant Hill, and Clifton Free of Converse; three sisters,
Mrs. Minnie Bozeman, Mrs. Irene Sistrunk, and Mrs. Hattie Rains,
all of Pleasant Hill; and 10 grandchildren.
