  John G. Gibbs - October 25, 1973

  John Gouch Gibbs, 81, of Natchitoches, died Saturday, Oct. 20,
in the Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport.

  Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Blanchard
Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Joel Treadwell officiating.
Burial was in the Memory Lawn Cemetery.

  Mr. Gibbs was a retired attorney, a native of Pleasant Hill and
a veteran of World War I.

  Survivors include his widow; a son, John W. Gibbs of
Natchitoches; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Sills; one grandchild and
three great-grandchildren.
