All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Bernard Harold Gabler Graveside services for Bernard Harold Gabler, 74, of Florien, were held on December 17, at 1 p.m., at Prospect Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. James Skinner officiated. Visitation was held at 3:30 p.m., Friday afternoon, December 16, at Prospect United Methodist Church. Mr. Gabler passed away on December 14, 1994, at his residence in Florien. Mr. Gabler was born Dec. 16, 1919, in Houston, Tex., to Hulda and Theodore Gabler. He was also a Lieutenant with the Army Air Corps, and a bombardier in the Air Force, with the 8th Air Force during World War II, and Mr. Gabler was a Bronze Star recipient. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lurline M. Gabler of Florien; two sons, Randy Gabler of Florien, and Jay Gabler of Brooksville, Fla.; one brother, Harvey Gabler of Durham, N. C.; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were an Honor Guard from the U.S. Air Force. Military graveside honors were provided by the Sabine Parish DAV Chapter 21.
