Sarah Mae Gafford

  Sarah Mae Gafford, 58, of Zwolle, La., died in Shreveport, La.,
July 1, 1983, at 7:10 p.m., after a short illness.

  Surviving relatives are her husband, John Vernon Gafford of
Zwolle; one brother, Wayne R. Stone of North Carolina; and a host
of nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held at the Memorial Baptist Church of
Zwolle, Sunday, July 3, at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Harrison McCoy,
and the Rev. Evon Hall officiating. Interment was in the Zwolle
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Max Teasley, Elzie Anderson, Milton McFerrin,
Michael Pearce, Jack Napier, and Merton Neal.
