William Gass

  William Gass, 72, of Florien, died in Natchitoches on Monday,
Jan. 28, at 6 a.m., following an extended illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Verda Gass of Florien; two
daughters, Mrs. Nelda Liles, and Mrs. Billie Gibson, both of
Natchitoches; three brothers, J. R. Gass of Anacoco, Joe Gass of
Leesville, and Clarence Gass of Doyline; four sisters, Mrs. Lydia
Holsomback, Mrs. Jessie Todderoff, and Mrs. Vera Smythe, all of
Leesville, and Mrs. Bessie Gass of California; and seven
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held in the Coldwater Baptist Church on
Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Virgil Taylor, and the
Rev. J. P. King officiating. Burial was in the Coldwater
Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were David Liles, Jerry Thomason, James Frantom,
Mark Liles, Ricky Jones, and Ottis Frantom.
