Glen Flenniken, Rev. Kenneth Baggs, and Rev. James Skinner officiating. Burial followed in the Florien Cemetery. Mr. Gass, 75, of Hornbeck, passed away Jan. 8, in the Byrd Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hornbeck. He was on the Board of Directors for Valley Electric for 28 years. He was an Alderman, and had served two terms as Mayor of the City of Hornbeck. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hornbeck, and was an Army/Air Corp. Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Elma W. Gass of Hornbeck, La.; one son, Raymond Thomas Gass of Pasadena, Tex.; daughter, Evelyn J. Lucius, Florien, La.; sister, Pearl Ford of Beaumont, Texas, and seven grandchildren.
