The Sabine Index - Mrs. Sarah Ellen Godfrey

  16 Jun 1944 - Last rites for Mrs. Sarah Ellen Godfrey, age 77
years, were held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Baptist church,
at Oak Grove Baptist church. Rev. H. T. Isgitt officiated,
Massingill funeral home in charge.

  Surviving are one son, Joe Godfrey, four daughters, Mrs. A. C.
Sistrunk, Mrs. E. W. Patrick and Mrs. R. L. Moore, Converse, Mrs.
Oscar Price, El Dorado, Ark., three sisters, Mrs. Canvis Pierce,
Mrs. Slena Hicks of Logansport and Jim Thomas of Minden.

  Pallbearers were friends of the family. Mrs. Godfrey
was a long-time member of Oak Grove Baptist church.
