Gaddis, 67, of Belmont died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000 at Christus Coushatta Health Care Center in Coushatta, after a brief illness. Mr. Gaddis was a lifelong resident of of Belmont and machinist. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6 at Union Baptist Church in Belmont with interment following at Belmont Cemetery. The Rev. Vernon Stephenson, assistant pastor of First Baptist Church in Zwolle, officiated and the Rev. Glen Howard, pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church in Marthaville, assisted. Survivors include his widow, Debra Clark Gaddis of Belmont; two sons, Brian Lane Gaddis of Joyce and Nathan Gaddis of Belmont; two daughters, Sandi Gaddis Dryden of Houston, Texas and Melissa Taylor of Coushatta; one sister, Dorothy Rymas of Shreveport; one brother, Billy Joe Gaddis of Belmont; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces nephews and friends.
