Mrs. Helen Mary Gates (Photo)

  Mrs. Helen Mary Gates, 77, of Rockwall, Texas, died Friday, Nov.
24, 2000, at Sabine Medical Center.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, at
Warren Meadows Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Indian
Village Cemetery in Choudrant, at 4 p.m.

  Survivors include one son, Bob Gates of Many; daughter-in-law,
Carolyn Gates of Many; daughter, Ginger Phillips of Rockwall,
Texas; son-in-law, Buck Phillips of Rockwall, Texas; one sister,
Mildred Estes of Natchitoches; one brother, Raleigh Smith of
Shreveport; three grandchildren, Claire Gates of Many, Rob
Phillips, and Lauren Phillips, both of Rockwall, Texas; and a
host of nieces and nephews.

  Mrs. Gates was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gates.

  Pallbearers were Dr. Chuck Boudreaux, Don Zick, Larry Hataway,
Dr. Sien Oey, Billy Lafitte, and Brian Tannehill.
