Mrs. W. D. Gates

  Funeral services for Mrs. W. D. Gates, 90, were held Sunday, at
4 p.m., in the First Baptist Church, Converse, with Rev. Pack
Byrd, and Rev. Don Brown officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove
Cemetery, under the direction of the Drewitt Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Gates died Saturday, in the Allen Sanitarium, after a
lengthy illness.

  Survivors are three sons, Harvey Gates, and A. T. (Buddy) Gates,
both of Coushatta, and Harold M. Gates of Converse; four
grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
