Earl R. Gatlin Sr.

  Earl R. Gatlin Sr. of Baton Rouge, died Saturday, Dec. 31, at
his residence. He was 53 years of age, and a native of Lincoln
County, Miss. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of
Converse.

  Funeral services were conducted Monday, Jan. 2, in the chapel of
Hartman Funeral Home in McComb, Miss. Interment was in Mt.
Pleasant Cemetery of Mt. Pleasant, Miss.

  He is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Walker of
Woodville, Miss.; one son, Earl Gatlin Jr. of Baton Rouge; four
daughters, Susan, and Sandra Gatlin, and Mrs. Robert Thomas, all
of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. James Wallace of McComb; four sisters;
five brothers; and five grandchildren.
