All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Freda Hubley Guidry Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. at Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Jan. 8 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church for Mrs. Emery Paul Guidry, 91, who died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000 at the Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana. The Rev. Marty Borchering, pastor officiated. Interment followed in the Peace Chapel Mausoleum at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Guidry, the former Freda Hubley was a native of Many, the daughter of the late Cleveland Hubley and the former Willie Lettie Presnail. She was a graduate of Many High School and the Chillicothe Ohio Business College. A resident of Lafayette since 1937, she retired in 1980 after working as a legal secretary for the law firm of Bailey and Mount. Freda was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Community. She was a sweet and loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her son and his wife, Paul and Janelle Savoie Guidry, of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Randall and wife Claire Guidry, Michael Guidry and Gary Guidry, three great-grandchildren, Derek Guidry, Andre Guidry and Kelci Guidry; three brothers, Grover c. Hubley of Tyler, Texas, Gene Hubley of Many and Jack Hubley of Alexandria; four sisters, Beverly Jo Miller of Lindon, Texas, Anna Frances Grembowic of Houston Texas, Lynna Hubley of Many and Hazel Yarbrough of Baton rough. Mrs. Guidry was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Paul Guidry. Pallbearers were Jack Hubley, Gene Hubley, Grover C. Hubley, Randall Guidry, Michael Guidry and Conway Yarbrough.
