Joseph Thilis Gauthier

  Mr. Joseph Thilis Gauthier of Shreveport, died Tuesday, Sept.
28, at 10:28 a.m., at Fraser Hospital in Many. He was 87. Mr.
Gauthier was a native of Mansura. He was employed by the La.
Dept. of Highways.

  Funeral services for Mr. Gauthier were held Thursday, Sept. 30,
at 11 a.m., at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hassmer. Rev.
William Provosty officiated the services. Interment was at the
church mausoleum in Hassmer. Services were under the direction of
Escude Funeral Home of Mansura.

  Serving as pallbearers were Donald Gauthier, Jimmy Gauthier,
Richard Gauthier, Phillip Gauthier, Bobby Gauthier, and John
Gauthier.

  Mr. Gauthier is survived by his wife, Blanche Ducote Gauthier of
Shreveport; two sons, Raymond P. Gauthier of Many, Hilton J.
Gauthier, Bossier City; five sisters, Eva Cox, Shreveport, Mary
Gauthier, Valice, Verna, and Elsie Gauthier, all of New Orleans;
eight grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
