Bossier City, Haughton, for Mr. Hilton Joseph Gauthier, 69, of Bossier City, Monday, Sept. 29, 1986, at 10 a.m. Officiating was the Rev. Tim Piland, pastor of Waller Baptist Church. Interment was at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Mr. Gauthier entered into rest Friday, Sept. 26, 1986, at Schumpert Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Avoyelles Parish, and lived in Bossier/Shreveport area for 51 years. Retired T/Sgt. Gauthier served in the Army, and Air Force, over a span of 26 years. He entered the Army in 1942, and served in World War II, in occupied Japan. He was awarded the United Nations Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Korean Service Medal, and numerous other decorations, medals, commendations, citations, and campaign ribbons. He is survived by his wife, Doris Ackley Gauthier of Bossier City; three sons, Ronald H. Gauthier of Shreveport, Bobby R. Gauthier of Bossier City, and Jimmy Ross Gauthier of Shreveport; three daughters-in-law, Joan, Jan, and Marie Gauthier; four grandchildren, Miriam Guthrie, Ronald Gauthier Jr., Carrie Gauthier, and Chad Gauthier; one great grandson, Michael Guthrie; his mother, Mrs. Blanche Gauthier of Shreveport; one brother, Raymond Gauthier, and his wife, Alice of Many; and good friends, Amos and Florene Hilton.
