All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Hugh Alfred Galloway Services for Mr. Hugh Alfred Galloway, 82, of Zwolle, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 4, at the Aimwell Baptist Church on Hwy. 1215 near Zwolle. Rev. Charles Duncan, pastor of the church, officiated, assisted by Rev. Vernon Stephenson, missionary at the Toledo Bend Baptist Center. Graveside services followed at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport. Mr. Galloway, born November 4, 1899, at the Halifax Plantation in Timon, died Wednesday, September 1, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, after an extended illness. He was a former resident of the Shreveport area of 50 years, and retired in 1965, from the Wray Ford Motor Co., where he had served as finance and credit manager for 30 years. He had lived in the Toledo Bend area for the past 7 years, and was active at the Aimwell Baptist Church on Toledo Bend Lake in Zwolle, where he served as assistant treasurer for the church bulletin. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Theople N. Galloway of Zwolle; one daughter, Patricia G. McElwee of Shreveport; two grandsons, John Galloway McElwee, and James Patrick McElwee of Shreveport; a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Orbon Wedgeworth, Ralph Worley, Reuben Worley, Francis Merton, Elzie Wedgeworth, John Barron.
