Mrs. Irene Gilbert

  Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Gilbert, 81, were held at 2:30
p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, at Canaan Baptist Church, with Rev. G.
Fletcher officiating. Burial followed in the Canaan Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of
El Dorado, Ark.

  Mrs. Gilbert died Thursday, Sept. 4, after a lengthy illness.

  Survivors include her husband, Luther Gilbert of Farmerville;
four sons, Floyd Junior Byrnside of Dubach, Crawford, and Martin
Byrnside, both of Farmerville, and Melvin Byrnside of Bossier
City; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Lee Coleman of El Dorado, Ark.,
and Mrs. Pauline Nash of Farmerville; one sister, Pearl McKnight
of Smackover, Ark.; 40 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and
3 great-great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Dewey McKnight, Melvin McKnight, Wylie Lane
Bryant, James Bryant, and Steve Coleman, with Kenneth Coleman as
honorary pallbearers.
