Mrs. Emily Brock Glaspie

  Services for Mrs. Emily Brock Glaspie, 93, of Mansfield, were
held at 10 a.m., Friday, January 24, at the Drewett Memorial
Chapel in Mansfield. Dr. W. T. Crosby, pastor of First Baptist
Church of Mansfield, officiated. Burial was at Marthaville
Cemetery in Marthaville.

  Mrs. Glaspie died Wednesday, January 22, 1986, at the Guest
House Nursing Home in Shreveport, La., after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 23, 1892, in Isla, Texas, and had been a
resident of Mansfield for sixty years. Mrs. Glaspie was a
housewife, school teacher, and retired merchant. She was an
active member of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" H. Glaspie.

  She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Doris Brock Culpepper of
Mansfield; and a number of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were nephews.
