The Rev. Bob Flannigan, and Rev. Elridge Anselmt officiated. Burial was in Converse Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadow Funeral Home. Mr. Golden died Sunday, Dec. 10, at the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. Visitation was at Mr. Golden's residence in Converse, on Monday, Dec. 11. Survivors are his wife, Vera M. Golden of Converse; daughter, Melissa Mitchell and husband Keith of Converse; two special foster sons, Charlie Myers of Noble, and Johnny Leggett of Junction City, Ark.; four sisters, Claudine Jacobs of Pleasant Hill, Lottie Ott of Pelican, Ruth Goodman of Mansfield, and Shirley Ebarb of Zwolle; two brothers, Junior Golden of Pleasant Hill, and Fred Golden of Converse; two grandchildren, Chastity Mitchell, and Gabrielle Mitchell of Converse; foster grandchildren, Jeremy, Sabrina, and Clay Leggett of Junction City, Ark., Ellery, Nathan, Charles, and Langston Myers of Noble; a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Ronnie Malmay, Garrett Walsh, Gerald Stoffels, George Glover, Ronnie Raybon, Gary Kirby, Calvin Jones, and Junior Cumming. Honorary pallbearers were Ed Rambin, Hugh Sherwood, Ricky Evans, and Ray Dean Glover.
