Gamble, 65, were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, at Rose-Neath's Logansport Chapel. Officiating was Bro. W. B. Bagwell, assisted by Wayne Jones. Burial was at the Longstreet Cemetery. Mr. Gamble died Friday, Dec. 13, in Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. He was a World War II veteran, a member of Wood Springs Baptist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason, past master of Liberty Lodge in Logansport. He participated in the Scottish rite, the York rite, and was a member of the El Karubah Shrine, and he was also a member of the Woodmen of the World. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Daily Gamble. He is survived by one son, Foster Gamble of Longstreet; one daughter, Katherine Auvil of Wilburn, Arkansas; four step daughters, Alice Moncrief of Longstreet, Bennie Elliott of Birmingham, Alabama, Sue Boley of Joaquin, Texas, and June Register of Logansport; two sisters, Mamie Thomas of Logansport, and Bessie B. Atkins of Many; nineteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dean Register, Billy Ray Bryant, Charlie Dunn, Leslie Badiali, E. Walker, and Bobby Primm.
