Hwy. 120, about 1 1/2 miles west of Marthaville. La. State Trooper Earl K. Townsend, who investigated the one car accident, said the car went off the road on the right, and skidded in such a way that the top of the vehicle wrapped around a pine tree. His death marked the third fatality of the year in Natchitoches Parish. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Sunday, in the Pisgah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Meadows officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include his widow; one son, Kenneth Ray Goings of Marthaville; one daughter, Kathy Ann Goings of Marthaville; mother, Mrs. Minnie Goings of Marthaville; three brothers, Albert Goings, Grady Goings, and James Goings, all of Marthaville; eight sisters, Mrs. Marie Wyatt of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Lorie Hanks of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Pearlee Wyatt of Natchitoches, Mrs. Opal Hilliard of Marthaville, Mrs. Gladys Allen of Dodson, Mrs. Gaynell Hilliard of Natchitoches, Mrs. Gelee Stoesser of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Brown of Houston.
